Jessica and Russ from Bit O Java will be covering this year’s SOLD OUT Rock On The Range festival @ Crew Stadium in Columbus , Ohio. This year, the festival has been extended to 3 full days and we will be there with the buzz all weekend long.

#1: Avenged Sevenfold
DAY: Saturday
STAGE: Monster Main Stage
WHEN: 9:15 pm
*This is Avenged Sevenfold’s 3rd time playing the Monster Main Stage at Rock On The Range and the second time since the loss of their drummer, The Rev. There will be fire. There will be loud guitars. There will be screaming. It will be epic. Do I really need to say anything else? GO!
#2 Guns N Roses
DAY: Friday
STAGE: Monster Main Stage
WHEN: 9:30 pm
*”Appetite For Destruction” is still the top selling debut album of all time, having gone 18x Platinum in the United States, with over 28,000,000 copies sold. Some fans saw the Appetite Lineup (you lucky bastard, @bitojavajoel ! ) and want to compare. Some people didn’t become fans until after Chinese Democracy was released. Either way, everyone is psyched for the GNR show Friday night at ROCK ON THE RANGE, with a lineup of Dj Ashba (also of Sixx AM), Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Tommy Stinson, Chris Pitman, Frank Ferrer and the man himself, Axl Rose.
#3 The Pretty Reckless

*Remember sweet , little Jenny (Taylor Momsen) from The Upper East Side? She’s morphed into a rock goddess, citing The Beatles, Kurt Cobain and Led Zeppelin as inspirations. Her band, The Pretty Reckless, who just released their Sophomore album, “Going To Hell”, will be playing the Ernie Ball Stage @ 6pm Saturday. DON’T MISS IT!!
#4 Alter Bridge
DAY: Sunday
STAGE: Monster Main Stage
TIME: 6:15 pm
*Alter Bridge is a must see. Fueled off of their hit single “Addicted To Pain” from their latest album, “Fortress”, the Myles Kennedy (Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators) fronted band is ending their spring tour here at this year’s Rock On The Range. Myles Kennedy & Mark Tremonti will have a meet & greet @ The Crazy Dave’s Music Experience tent @ 2pm Sunday.
#5 Five Finger Death Punch
DAY: Sunday
STAGE: Monster Main Stage
TIME: 7:45 pm
*Five Finger Death Punch, who has played Rock On The Range three times, just announced a fall co- headlining tour with Volbeat last week and will be busy playing festivals all over the US this summer, including Rock Fest, Rocklahoma & Summerfest. They hit the Monster Main Stage on Sunday , before headliner Kid Rock.
#6 Seether
DAY: Friday
STAGE: Monster Main Stage
TIME: 6:20 pm
If you haven’t heard of Seether, you really shouldn’t be at Rock On The Range. The multi platinum alt – rock band formed in 1999 and is compromised of lead singer/guitarist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart and drummer John Humphrey. Seether just released their 6th full length album last year, getting better with every new record. Check them out on the Monster Main Stage!
#7 Butcher Babies
Day: Friday
Stage: Jagermeifter Stage
Time: 4:20 pm
The Heidi Shepherd & Carla Coates fronted, Los Angeles based metal band has toured with the likes of Black Label Society and Marylin Manson and are hitting the stage @ 4:20 on Friday to rage with you & help kick off your weekend at the biggest Rock fest in the US!
#8 Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience
Day: Sunday
Stage: Ernie Ball Stage
Time: 7:00 pm
This one is for the old school 70s fans in the crowd. Jason Bonham, John Bonham (Led Zeppelin’s original drummer who passed away in 1980) ‘s son. This is the closest to Led Zeppelin you will get, each show serving not only as a tribute to John, but as a tribute to one of the greatest bands in the history of rock, that paved the way for so many.
#9 Of Mice & Men
Day: Sunday
Stage: Ernie Ball Stage
Time: 5:40 pm
One of the most popular metalcore bands performing at ROCK ON THE RANGE this year, Of Mice & Men (signed to RISE Records), have just released their latest album, “The Restoring Force”. They are set to take the Ernie Ball Stage at 5:40 on Sunday. Keep an eye out here for a review of the show!
#10 Chevelle
Day: Saturday
Stage: Monster Main Stage
Time: 6:35 pm
Chevelle is a melodic rock band based in Chicago with a killer new single out (“Take Out The Gunman”) , which is currently #23 on the Itunes rock chart. If you haven’t yet, you need to check these guys out! They hit the Monster Main Stage @ 6:35 on Saturday, following Theory Of A Deadman.
