Mocha Brownies

Brownie Ingredients:

* 4 oz. Unsweetened Chocolate

* 2 cups white sugar

* 2 sticks of butter

* 4 eggs

* 4 tsp. Vanilla

 

Icing Ingredients:

* 2 sticks of softened butter

* 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder

* 5 – 6 cups of Confectioner’s (powdered) sugar

* 4 tsp. Vanilla

* 1/4 tsp. salt

* 1/2 to 3/4 cups Cold Brewed Coffee ( we used Guatemalan Rockin’ and Roastin’ Coffee)

Instructions For Brownies:

With your oven preheating at 325 degrees F. , spray an square 8 in. pan with nonstick spray and lightly flour.

Put your chocolate in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave again for 30 seconds . Set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs. With your mixer on low, slowly add in the chocolate. Add vanilla and stir. Add the All- purpose flour and mix until combined.

Pour your batter into the pan. Spread out so that you have an even surface. Bake 40- 50 minutes. Set aside to cool.

Instructions For Icing:

Combine the butter, cocoa powder, salt , powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix and add 1/2 cup of coffee. Stir until the icing is fluffy. If your icing is too thick, add more coffee. If it is too thin , add more powdered sugar.

Ice your cooled brownies . Chill brownies. Top with shaved chocolate or chocolate chips. Cut into small pieces. Best served with vanilla bean or coffee ice cream.
